The Ordinary – Lactic Acid 10% + HA

Description

This is a high-strength Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) solution designed for surface-level exfoliation. It specifically targets textural irregularities, dullness, and uneven skin tone by encouraging the skin’s natural renewal process. Because Lactic Acid is a gentler AHA with a larger molecular size, this water-based serum is particularly well-suited for dry skin types.

To ensure effective delivery with minimal discomfort, the formula is supported by a purified Tasmanian Pepperberry extract, which helps to reduce the inflammation and sensitivity often associated with acid use. It also contains a Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer (a form of Hyaluronic Acid) to provide hydration and prevent the skin from feeling stripped.

With an optimized pH of approximately 3.8, this serum provides a perfect balance between acidity and salt, ensuring the acid remains available and effective for daily use once skin tolerance has been established.

How to use:

1. Apply once daily, ideally as part of your evening skincare routine.
2. Gently smooth a few drops over your face, avoiding the eye contour and contact with the eyes.
3. For Beginners: If your skin is new to acids, you can dilute this serum with other treatments (like a simple moisturizer) to reduce its strength until your skin builds tolerance.
4. Do not use on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin.
5. Sunburn Alert: This product contains an AHA that increases sun sensitivity. You must use sunscreen daily and limit sun exposure while using this product and for one week following its use.
